Mazuma Credit Union Savings Rates and Money Market Rates

Mazuma Credit Union of Kansas City, Missouri, is offering six different types of savings accounts and a money market account. The savings accounts include the normal types of accounts that are usually offered and there are also three accounts offered for special occasions.

Their savings account rates aren't the highest savings account rates available but if you have a particular occasion coming up, you can use the account for that purpose and eventually deposit the funds into a higher yielding savings account.

The types of savings accounts include:

  • Regular Share savings account

  • Special Share savings account

  • Holiday Savings account

  • Matrimoney Savings account

  • New Arrival Savings account

  • GradAccount Savings Account

Each type of savings account is designed for a different need and purpose. The Matrimoney Savings account is a registry account for engaged couples. The New Arrival Savings account is a registry account for expecting moms and dads and it works the same way as the Matrimoney Savings account.

The savings interest rates are tiered but currently all have the same savings rate and savings yield for the following balances:

  • $100 - $999.99 0.30% APY

  • $1,000 - $9,999 0.40% APY

  • $10,000 and Over 0.60% APY

The credit union's Money Maximizer Money Market Account has the following tiered interest rates.

  • $1,000 - $9,999 0.449% Rate 0.45% APY
